High Seat Chairs
Reduce the effort to stand from a sitting position.
The correct seat height together with a more upright sitting position makes sitting and rising considerably easier. A higher seat height can make it easier to get out of your chair but you also need to consider your lower leg length. Too high a seat can cause the sitter to experience pressure problems.
A chair designed to be easier to stand up from will have a more upright sitting position and shorter seat depth. Wooden hand grips which extend forward & chair legs that allow your feet to tuck under the seat in line with your wrists will also greatly assist rising.
The person needing the chair needs to sit and try them, it’s the only way to choose a chair that best suits your needs.
